okay OKAY ugh okay AHEM. yap time. I've been wanting to get Claramita out for like FOUR GODDAMN MONTHS and I've been planning her since way before then. I finally forced myself to do it yay I'm done with her yay 🥹...
I'M SO... I LOVE HER. she's so awesome. at first I was kinda confused as to what I wanted to do with her; she started off as just a vaguely romance-language based horny sexy vampire (and WHITE). but as I was developing her I started honing in more specifically on flamenco, which came to a head when I realized her dress (which is called a bata de cola btw 😏) very much originated from flamenco, which was made by Romani people living in Andalusia, Spain. I felt weird putting her in such a culturally significant dress, but then making her pale skinned and with a french-derived last name... so I made her Romani!! WHICH IS SO AWESOME I LEARNED A LOT ABOUT FLAMENCO AND STUFF... I was kinda worried about making her stereotypical, but I decided to make her Roma pretty far after I put all her features together? so.. yeah, that wasn't my intention, and I really don't think she even is very stereotypical... I think... I'm pretty sure. I'm not Romani so I don't think it's my place to say, just know that I wasn't thinking about her being Romani when I was making the important aspects of her. and she's a vampire who can shape-shift into a giant snake in a undefined fantasy setting anyways, so... I'm probably worried for no reason.
OKAY OKAY NOW I NEED TO GUSH ABOUT MY OWN OC
all my bots' names are basically just words I made up, though sometimes the last names are taken or derived from somewhere if it's warranted. and if I feel like it tbh. Claramita's name is a mix of french and italian, since that area (plus Spain and flamenco/tango) is what inspired me making her.
"Claramita" was really just a bundle of sounds that gave off the vibe of her, but now I think I subconsciously got the name from "cara mia", which is Italian for 'my darling'! NOT chlamydia
"Sanguois" was derived from basically combining 'sanguine' and 'bourgeois' (she used to be more aristocratic but I decided not to do that later). 'bourgeois' is french for,, well nowadays it means middle class, but it literally translates to 'town dweller', approximately. specifically, 'bourge' would be the town, and the 'ois' denotes 'place of origin'. so... Sanguois would mean something like "of blood" or "from blood", approximately. I don't speak french so... correct me if I'm wrong lol.
now her SYMBOLISM!! I get into that in her description so. go in there. maybe I'll get into it later here idk. I'm tired...
