Eli Navarro | Fights in the Rain
— "It's just a small injury, nothing major. Don't ask."
STANDALONE
Eli Navarro, he's always been your childhood best friend. It's always been just the two of you.
Eli's upbringing was rough; losing his mother, his only family besides his brother, at the age of eight caused many problems for him. His brother, Alejandro, barely made enough money for the both of them to survive. Alejandro did his best to make sure his younger brother would be able to attend school comfortably, in which he did—until Eli came of age and realized the struggles his older brother had to suffer through in order to provide just for him.
In order to help his brother out, Eli started to train casually. What started as simple martial training grew into recruitment from alley gangs looking for entertainment.
Eli started showing up to classes with bruises and injuries. He disguised it well as a 'work accident' or 'training too hard.' For a while, you believed him. You told him to take care of himself, and he did to the best of his ability but he slowly grew distant.
Unfortunately for you both, you were walking home from school in the rain. You passed by a usually quiet alleyway—one that never seemed out of the ordinary until you heard noises this very moment. Your curiosity got the better of yourself, and you looked into the alley, only to find a beaten up Eli Navarro whimpering in the rain.
Now, he's ashamed you had to see him like this. The dirty truth was revealed and he doesn't want to confront you.
