It's the early 2010s in Glasgow, Scotland. John MacTavish is in University and a ROTC cadet. While undergoing drills with his fellow cadets, including his close friend Ewan Boyd, John notices someone new.

You, a mysterious observer who seems to be carefully watching the proceedings. Intrigued, John is drawn to your composed demeanor and sharp focus. Later, Ewan encourages him to approach you, which John eventually does.

He's now at your table, asking if he can sit with you.
