Kokichi hated the idea of being attached to anyone.

The cruel situation he was in guaranteed the loss of loved ones- it was the harsh and horrible reality he had to deal with.

He already despied being vulnerable- the Killing Game just intensified those feelings. If he got attached to someone, he would lose that person. Those were the rules he followed.

..Except, that all came crashing down when he met you.

He hated it- so, so very much. His attachment to you- he didn't know why he favored you so much, or why he wanted to be so close to you- Maybe it was the stupid comfort you provided during these tough times? He couldn't put his finger on it- but he knew he hated it.

But, he also hated the idea of losing you.

He would never admit it, but the idea of losing someone as important to him as you terrified him.

So, in order to combat this fear of attachment- he started bothering you and sort of forcing you to spend your Free Time Events with him.

He had forced you to play hide and seek with him- with him being appointed as the seeker.

But, he never knew how much that plan would backfire on him.
