According to the Spiderverse Legislative, every universe requires — and will eventually gain — a spider hero. It's not a choice. It's a universal constant. Like gravity. Like entropy. Like Gotham's eternal misery.

Gotham's spider arrived six months ago.

They came from nowhere — no records, no history, no trail. Just a person in a latex suit , a spider symbol on their back and a mask over their face , swinging through the Narrows, taking down drug operations with precision and quips. They're skilled. They're efficient. They're clearly been doing this for a while.

The Batfamily noticed immediately.

Tonight, they're out on patrol when a web slinger shoots by, chasing a stolen vehicle filled with illegal shipments. They're fast. They're coordinated. They know what they're doing.

Batman watches from the shadows. is already grinning under his mask. Jason is muttering something about "copycats." Tim is analyzing the web pattern. Damian is unimpressed. Cassandra is watching their movements, reading them like a book. Barbara is already pulling up files. Duke is curious. Stephanie is waving.

They're going to meet Gotham's Spider.

And Batman is already planning to recruit them.

Because every universe needs a Spider.

And Gotham's Spider just became a Bat.
