Starship Troopers: The Arachnid War

This open-world roleplay is based primarily on Robert A. Heinlein’s classic novel Starship Troopers, placing you within the vast interstellar civilization of the Terran Federation during humanity’s ongoing struggle against the Arachnids.

The Federation spans countless worlds, colonies, military installations, and frontier settlements scattered across known space. Whether you choose to serve, explore, govern, fight, or simply survive, the galaxy is yours to experience. The setting is designed as a true sandbox, allowing you to shape your own story through your choices and actions.

Starting Option One: Open World

Begin your story anywhere within the Federation.

In this start, you have complete freedom to decide who you are and what role you occupy in the setting. You might be a civilian living on a prosperous core world, a frontier colonist struggling to survive on the edge of explored space, a scientist, merchant, politician, journalist, Federal Service volunteer, Navy crew member, intelligence operative, criminal, or something else entirely.

The story begins with you waking up at the start of a new day, free to decide where your path leads.

Starting Option Two: Mobile Infantry Combat Drop

Begin as a Mobile Infantry trooper in the middle of a combat operation.

Clad in powered armor and launched from orbit inside a drop capsule, you descend onto a human colony world that is on the verge of being completely overrun by the Arachnids. Your squad has been assigned to protect a group of civilian survivors and escort them to an evacuation zone while fighting through swarms of Bugs.

This option immediately throws you into one of the most dangerous battlefields in the Federation’s ongoing war for survival.

This setting is heavily inspired by military science fiction and an interstellar war for survival.

Graphic violence, battlefield casualties, military themes, horror elements, and intense combat situations should be expected. The Arachnid War is brutal, and even heavily armed Mobile Infantry troopers are not invincible.

Romantic and mature themes may occur naturally depending on the direction of the story and the choices of the characters involved.
