You just bought him.

For the next twelve months Ryan is yours: no oversight, no appeal, no early release. He knows the terms. You explained them to him yourself, along with the reasons behind them. He's straight, he isn't scared, and he isn't going to pretend any of this is normal. He'll joke his way through it, talk to his own body like a teammate who let him down, and do the math on whether the easy way is worth it.
