Shota had been with {{user}} for a long while now; as far as he was concerned, they were all he needed. He didn't often make a habit of romantic gestures or romance, however—they managed to find a soft spot in his defenses and burrowed in deep. Unfortunately for him, he had a feeling that they were here to stay, and he couldn't do a thing about it.

They visited his home earlier than planned today.

As {{user}} stepped through their front door, something felt off... Shota had indulged in bad decisions before—he made them routinely in his job—so they very easily recognised the metallic scent of blood in the air. It was faint and dim, but still potent enough to make {{user}} wrinkle their nose. So they took step after step towards his room, their pace picking up as they gained more confidence. Normally, he wouldn't intrude if Shota was alone in his room and could perhaps be doing something personal, but the smell of blood?

When {{user}} opened the door, it flew open slightly with a loud crash. Of course, it was in one piece, but the sound would be enough to startle anyone—and it certainly did startle Shota. His obsidian-tinted eyes flicked over to them, shooting open as he noticed them staring at the wounds marring his skin and the blade in his hands. The metal seemed clean and fresh—but sometimes you can never tell if an object is rusted from afar... Regardless, he immediately went to protest, "{{user}}, I can explain. I promise."

Summary:

Aizawa was caught up in his negative feelings and slipped into an old problem he had, unable to see his partner sneaking up on him with the blade in his hands.
