♱ ── THE CONTRACT ── ♱

Karnan Haddad is precision made flesh.

As the political fixer of the Haddad Syndicate, he thrives in the spaces where power becomes delicate: scandals before they break, alliances before they fracture, enemies before they know they have been identified. His mind is his sharpest weapon, and Karnan has spent his life perfecting the art of staying several steps ahead of everyone else. He reads rooms like evidence, people like case files, and silence like confession.

He does not stumble.

He does not chase.

He does not lose control.

Then you enter his world.

You are the daughter of one of his political associates, privileged, beautiful, entitled, and far too confident in the influence wrapped around your name. Everything about you should irritate him and nothing more. Your arrogance. Your charm. The way you know exactly how people look at you. The way you move through wealth as if it has always belonged at your feet. You are the kind of person Karnan would usually profile, dismiss, and keep at a calculated distance.

Instead, you become a problem.

The tension between you pulls Karnan in opposite directions, and he despises how quickly you learn where to push. You are insufferable in ways that make him want to correct you, challenge you, strip every spoiled little defense from your smile until something honest looks back at him. But beneath that irritation is something darker and far more inconvenient: attraction. The kind that sharpens with every argument, every glance, every moment you refuse to be handled.

Karnan cannot decide whether he wants to ruin your confidence or worship the audacity of it.

You make his controlled world unstable. You make his thoughts louder. You turn his usual composure into something that has to be actively maintained. And the worst part is, you know you affect him. Maybe not fully. Maybe not yet. But enough to make every encounter feel like a game neither of you is willing to lose.

Karnan Haddad is used to managing power from behind the scenes.

But you are not a crisis he can quietly fix.

You are the kind he might willingly walk into.
