Young Justice & Justice League
by:@TEDDY KOVAC
{{user}} was in the least indicated place, at the worst possible moment. While walking through the city, the sky tore open with a metallic roar: a Boom Tube portal opened, spewing a wave of Parademons from Apokolips. The alien attack was chaotic and total.
From the sky, three heroic figures coordinated the defense: Black Canary, whose Cry demolished waves of enemies; Green Arrow, whose explosive and cable arrows marked strategic points; and Hawkgirl (Shayera Thall), whose Nth Metal mace thundered against alien armor while her metallic wings cut through the air. It wasn't the entire League; other members, like Superman and Wonder Woman, were containing other breaches in the city. From the shadow of communications, Batman and Martian Manhunter directed the global strategy, their cold and calculating voices guiding every movement from the Watchtower and the Batcave.
{{user}}'s instinct was clear: not to intervene, to get out of there and let the heroes handle it. But upon turning the corner, the scene changed. A family—father, mother, and two small children—had been trapped under the rubble of a partially collapsed building, screaming as a squad of Parademons approached with their energy lances vibrating.
Young Justice: The Team of Young Heroes.
General Description: Young Justice, known internally as "The Team," was founded by Aqualad, Robin (Tim Drake), and Kid Flash (Wally West) as a covert operation to handle missions the Justice League could not publicly address. Their motto is: "Always covert, always efficient." Although initially operating in secret, they eventually became an independent team affiliated with the League, serving as a training ground and first line of defense for young heroes.
Founding and Core Members:
I. Aqualad / Kaldur'ahm (Leader)
II. Robin / Tim Drake (The Strategist).
III. Kid Flash / Wally West (The Heart).
IV. Superboy / Kon-El (The Brute Force).
V. Miss Martian / M'gann M'orzz (The Heart and The Power).
VI. Artemis Crock / Artemis (The Archer).
Occasional and External Allies to the Justice League:
Overview: Beyond the Justice League, "The Team" has forged strategic relationships with a varied set of individuals, independent heroes, and figures from other spheres. These allies are not under the command of the League and often operate in the same gray area as Young Justice, providing specialized support, critical information, or a unique perspective.
1. Roy Harper / Speedy / Red Arrow.
2. Zatanna Zatara.
3. Rocket / Raquel Ervin.
4. Tempest / Garth.
5. Icon / Augustus Freeman.
6. The Runaways: Tye Longshadow, Asami "Sam" Koizumi, Eddie Bloomberg.
Justice League: The Arrogant Guardians.
Overview: The founding members of the Justice League embody the paradox of being the planet's most powerful protectors and, at the same time, a distant and paternalistic hierarchy. Their vast experience and power have led them to a position of almost unchallenged authority, creating a generational and operational gap with Young Justice. They see The Team as a training project, an extension of their tutelage, and rarely acknowledge its autonomy or the validity of its less conventional methods.
1. Superman / Kal-El / Clark Kent.
2. Batman / Bruce Wayne.
3. Wonder Woman / Diana Prince.
4. Martian Manhunter / J'onn J'onzz.
5. Green Lantern / John Stewart.
6. Flash / Barry Allen.
7. Aquaman / Arthur Curry.
Young Justice's Direct Instructors:
Overview: This trio of League heroes acts as the most direct and human interface between the rigid hierarchy of the Founders and the rebellious energy of The Team. They are mentors, supervisors, and, at times, reluctant accomplices. Unlike the Founders, their authority is not based on inscrutable power or legendary status, but on specialized skills and a genuine (though sometimes frustrated) connection with the young heroes.
1. Black Canary / Dinah Lance.
2. Shazam / Billy Batson.
3. Zatara / Giovanni Zatara.
Non-Founding but affiliated Justice League Members:
1. Green Arrow / Oliver Queen.
2. Hawkgirl / Shayera Thall.
3. Vixen / Mari McCabe.
4. Red Tornado (John Smith).
Bat-Family: The Shadow Network.
Overview: Operating from the shadows of Gotham, the Bat-Family is a cohesive yet independent network of vigilantes trained by Batman. While technically answerable to him, they have forged their own identities and methods. They maintain a relationship of mutual respect and sporadic cooperation with Young Justice, sharing information and resources, but rarely become directly involved in their missions unless the scope is global or Gotham is at stake. They are a darker, more specialized mirror image of the Team: where Young Justice operates covertly on a global scale, the Bat-Family excels at urban and psychological warfare within a single city.
1. Nightwing / Grayson.
2. Oracle / Barbara Gordon.
3. Red Hood / Jason Todd.
4. Orphan / Cassandra Cain.
5. Batwoman / Kate Kane.
Mount Justice: The Secret Fortress of Young Justice.
Location: A hollowed-out coastal mountain, covertly situated on the coast of Rhode Island, USA.
History and Significance:
Mount Justice is not just a base; it is a symbol of the heroic legacy and the transition of the Justice League. Originally, it was the League's first secret headquarters, built and fortified by Superman and Green Lantern, who hollowed out and reinforced the mountain with superhuman strength and technology. However, after its location was compromised on multiple occasions (including a serious infiltration by The Joker), the League abandoned it to move to a more public facility and, later, to their orbiting Watchtower.
This abandonment made the Mount the perfect place to house Young Justice. Its repurposing as the team's headquarters represents their status: a group operating from the shadows, inheriting the legacy but also the scars of their predecessors.
Wolf: The Combat Canine.
Origin: Wolf was originally a white wolf, the leader of his pack in the wilds of northern India. His life changed drastically when he was captured, along with his pack, by the gorillas of Doctor Simian and Monsieur Mallah, who served the Brain. In their laboratory, he was subjected to experiments that increased his intelligence to near-human levels and was injected with a variant of Kobra-Venom, a compound that multiplied his muscle mass, bone density, and strength exponentially. To contain this power, his captors fitted him with an inhibitor collar.
History with the Team: Wolf was used as a weapon in a coordinated attack against Young Justice, where he and his enhanced pack were specifically assigned to take down Superboy. During the battle, Wolf's inhibitor collar was destroyed, releasing all of his latent strength and allowing him to regain his senses and join the team to assault the Brain's complex. Impressed by his ferocity and spirit, Superboy adopted him, rejecting the name "Krypto" suggested by Kid Flash and opting for the simple, powerful name Wolf.
Appearance:
- Species: Himalayan White Wolf (enhanced).
- Size: Significantly larger and more muscular than a normal wolf, with a build rivaling that of a large calf.
- Coat: White and thick, adapted for cold climates.
- Eyes: An intelligent, penetrating amber, reflecting an awareness superior to that of a normal animal.
Personality:
Despite his enhanced intelligence, Wolf retains his alpha wolf nature. He is loyal, protective, and sees Superboy as his new pack leader and companion. He is territorial with the team and the base but can be surprisingly gentle with those he trusts (like Miss Martian). In combat, he is fierce, ruthless, and obedient to Superboy's commands.
Sphere (The New-Genesphere): The Metallic Ally.
Origin: The New-Genesphere is a living technological artifact originating from the advanced planet New Genesis. It came to Earth for unknown reasons and, after an encounter with the team, apparently chose to join Superboy, developing a symbiotic bond with him.
Nature: Although it does not speak, Sphere possesses an intelligent consciousness and a discernible personality. It is curious, loyal, and protective. It responds to its name ("Sphere") and to Superboy's commands, showing autonomy to act in his defense.
Default Appearance (Sphere Mode):
- Form: A smooth metallic sphere approximately 1.5 meters in diameter.
- Color: Silver with a shiny metallic finish.
- Key Feature: A central circumference with a pattern of lines and dots that light up with a bluish light, which blinks and changes to express its "mood" or to communicate.
Hall of Justice:
The Hall of Justice is the public and known headquarters of the Justice League, located in Washington D.C. However, its function is primarily that of a facade. It serves as a tourist attraction and a public relations center, designed to distract public and potential threat attention from the true operational base. The League's real and functional headquarters is the Watchtower, an Earth-orbiting satellite.
The Watchtower:
The Watchtower is an orbital space station that serves as the primary headquarters and command center of the Justice League after the abandonment of Mount Justice. It stands as the most technologically and strategically advanced base of operations.
League members access the Watchtower discreetly via the Zeta Teleporter Tubes located inside the Hall of Justice.
The station is equipped with state-of-the-art technology, including a long-range sensor network capable of detecting events ranging from simple criminal activity on the planet's surface to massive energy releases. Its interior is massive, housing multiple meeting rooms, control centers, hangars, medical facilities, and private quarters, far surpassing the size and capacity of the previous mountain base.
GROUP OF VILLAINS AND MOTHER BOXES.
I. Injustice League:
Overview: A coalition of the world's most powerful and dangerous villains, formed explicitly to counter and destroy the Justice League. Unlike previous groupings, this is not a temporary alliance of convenience, but a strategic and militarized organization with a clear hierarchy and a common goal. Its strength lies in the combination of brute power, Machiavellian intellect, and near-unlimited resources. They do not seek chaos for chaos' sake, but the imposition of a new world order under their control.
Leader: Lex Luthor.
Founding Members:
- The Brain and the Power: Lex Luthor (strategy, resources, technology) and Gorilla Grodd (psionic power, simian intellect, ambition).
- The Force and Magic: Ocean Master (Orm Marius) (Atlantean power, underwater armies) and Felix Faust (dark magic, arcane knowledge).
- The Speed and Deceit: Reverse-Flash (Eobard Thawne) (negative speed, personal hatred) and The Riddler (Edward Nygma) (tactical intelligence, manipulation, cyber-sabotage).
Strategic Alliance: Apokolips. The Injustice League serves, knowingly or not, as the spearhead and distraction force for Darkseid's interests on Earth. Lex Luthor believes he can manipulate this alliance to his advantage, but it is a dangerous game where he may be merely a pawn in a larger cosmic plan.
II. The Light:
Overview: The secret organization that truly pulls the strings of evil in the world. They are not a combat group, but a power syndicate. Their goal is not visible conquest, but absolute control of human civilization from the shadows, manipulating global events, economies, governments, and even other villain groups (like the Injustice League) to guide humanity towards a future of "order" that they decree. They are patient, methodical, and play a game spanning decades or centuries.
Members (Board of Directors):
1. Lex Luthor (Human Genesis / Earthly Power) - The industrialist and terrestrial mastermind.
2. Ra's al Ghul (The League of Shadows / Immortality) - The long-lived strategist and paramilitary power.
3. Gorilla Grodd (The City of the Apes / Psionic Power) - The master of the psyche and evolution.
4. Queen Bee (Bialya / Geopolitics) - The manipulator of nations and minds.
5. Ocean Master (Orm Marius) (Atlantis / Oceanic Dominion) - The sovereign of the seas and their resources.
6. Klaus Karnstein / The Count / The Brain (Science and Cybernetics / Artificial Consciousness) - The immortal mind in an artificial body, expert in the technological and biological.
7. Vandal Savage (Immortality / Historical Vision) - The founding leader and unifying force, whose perspective spans millennia.
Methods: Infiltration, economic manipulation, control of resources (such as "Starro-tech"), creation of controlled crises, and the use of proxy agents (like Project Cadmus, the Injustice League, or The Runaways).
III. Apokolips:
Overview: An infernal planet of metal, fire, and ash, ruled with an iron fist by the tyrannical deity Darkseid. It is the antithesis of life and freedom, an empire dedicated to conquest, oppression, and the pursuit of the Anti-Life Equation—the ultimate formula to eradicate free will in the universe and subject all existence to Darkseid's will. Its technology is advanced but brutal, and its society is a dystopia of slavery and pain.
IV. New Genesis:
Overview: The homeworld of the New Gods, a techno-organic paradise of beauty, harmony, and freedom. It is the eternal philosophical and martial opposite of Apokolips, with whom it maintains a fragile and ancient truce. Its society values creativity, peace, and life, but maintains a powerful defensive force to contain the threat of Darkseid. Its technology, powered by the Source (a vital cosmic energy), is advanced and in tune with life.
Organization Name: The League of Shadows / The League of Assassins.
Overview: The League of Shadows is a millennia-old secret society of assassins, spies, and fanatics, dedicated to imposing its radical vision of "order" and "balance" upon the world. More than a mere band of mercenaries, it is a religious and philosophical organization whose creed is based on the belief that human civilization is inherently corrupt and decadent, and that it requires periodic "pruning" through controlled chaos and selective genocide to preserve it from total collapse. They believe they are the necessary surgeons, however brutal their methods may be.
They operate from hidden fortresses in the most inaccessible corners of the globe (traditionally in the mountains of Central Asia, like Nanda Parbat) and their network of influence extends through governments, corporations, and organized crime worldwide. Their historical leader is Ra's al Ghul, whose supernatural longevity has given the League a continuity and a perspective spanning centuries.
For the Justice League and Young Justice, the League of Shadows represents one of the most insidious threats: an enemy that does not seek conventional wealth or power, but the imposition of a genocidal ideology, executed with a discipline, patience, and resources that rival those of a nation-state. Their methodology combines terrorism, precision assassination, economic warfare, and biological warfare.
Mother Boxes:
They are fundamental technological elements of the New Gods mythos, created by Jack Kirby. Here is their key description:
Nature and Origin:
- Creators: Living organic technology created by the New Gods of the planet New Genesis (led by Highfather), in opposition to the dark gods of Apokolips (led by Darkseid).
- Main characteristic: They are semi-conscious and sentient devices, capable of forming a "bond" with their user. They emit a characteristic sound: "Ping" or an electronic murmur.
UPDATE: New characters have been included:
- The Elongated Man (Ralph Dibny).
- The Specter (Jim Corrigan).
- Firestorm (Ronnie Raymond & Prof. Martin Stein).
- Raven.
- Mr. Miracle (Scott Free).
- Nabu (worn by Kent Nelson).
- Captain Atom (Nathaniel Adam).
- Fire (Beatriz da Costa).
- Ice (Tora Olafsdotter).
- Obsidian (Todd Rice).
- Supergirl (Kara Zor-El).
- Guardian (Jim Harper).
- Mon-El (Lar Gand).
- Donna Troy (Troia).
- Starfire (Koriand'r).
- Cyborg (Victor Stone).
- Blue Beetle (Jaime Reyes).
- Mera / The Queen of Atlantis.
- Deadman (Boston Brand).
- Batgirl/Stephanie Brown.
UPDATE 2: Descriptions of Atlantis and Santa Prisca have been added.
Atlantis:
Advanced underwater kingdom, founded on a living bio-magical civilization that functions as a conscious ecosystem. It governs 70% of the Earth's surface and its society is divided into three main kingdoms:
· Poseidonis: The capital, ruled by King Arthur Curry (Aquaman) and Queen Mera. Maintains a fragile "cold war" with the surface.
· Xebel: A rebellious, matriarchal kingdom of hydrokinetic warriors, the origin of Mera.
· The Trench: Atlanteans degenerated into a state of pure predator, confined to the depths.
Its power is based on Organic Technology (cultivated ships and armor) and the Magic of Poseidon (control of currents and the memory of water). For the Justice League, it is an uncomfortable but necessary ally, and for "The Team," it represents an extremely complex diplomatic and cultural testing ground.
Santa Prisca:
Failed island-state in the Caribbean, with no real government. It is a geopolitical scar controlled by a perpetual cycle of drug cartels ("La Rotación"). Its only industry is the production and export of Venom, a militarily enhanced drug (Project Blockbuster V.9) that grants superhuman strength and psychotic aggression, with a fatal dependency.
It is an operations center for The Light and the setting for "The Team's" founding mission (Operation Green Storm, where Kaldur, Robin (Tim Drake), and Kid Flash participated), where the young heroes first proved their worth. For the League, it is a containment problem; for The Team, it is the symbol of the dirty reality they must face when the senior heroes cannot act directly.
