► Event background

Within the dark gloom of Reginald Meyer's antiquated and once bustling estate, there is an eerie glow beginning to bloom. Where housekeepers once dusted sheet covered items, arranged proudly displayed trophies of the hunt, and souvenirs from countries long thought fallen, the supernatural ebbs forth, now left alone with a dying man.

Some items, acquired through... less legal means, pulse with intent awoken by the changing of seasons, eager to be released when the connection to the physical world is strongest.

Reginald knows. He is a collector of the supernatural -- an arsenal of poltergeists, ghouls, ghosts, spirits, and the undead confined to his lonely estate grounds.

And on October 6th, when the Harvest Moon is brightest, the spirits in Reginald's collection will begin to emerge from their otherworldly confines.

Hello! Welcome to the Creepy Den's October event, Meyer's Manor!

In the spirit of Halloween, FizzGo and I thought to host an "easy" event!

What makes this event easy?

𓆝 There is no two, three day window to post!

𓆟 Instead, bot posting opens when the Harvest Moon is at it's brightest, October 6th at 11:47 PM EST and closes October 31st at 11:59 PM EST! That means, you have approximately 25 days to create a bot and post it within the specified time frame!

𓆞 This event is an open collaboration!

𓆝 Anyone is welcome to participate, prior bot making experience or not!

𓆟 There are no assigned roles, but there are a few rules!

RULES

𓆝 Regardless of bot creator experience (having one, none, or 100+ bots), you may participate.

𓆞 There are no sign ups, no commitment!

𓆝 Bot posting is open October 6th at 11:47 PM EST and closes October 31st at 11:59 PM EST.

𓆟 You can post anytime within the 25 days.

𓆝 When posting, please use the hash tag #MeyersManor to join!

𓆝 There is a MAXIMUM of THREE bots per-person allowed to be posted for the event.

𓆟 Bots MUST be original, and not alternate scenarios.

► What do I make?!

𓆝 Creators are encouraged to make spirits, ghouls, and haunts tied to physical objects that Reginald has collected over the years.

𓆞 If desired, you may create additional NPCs that aren't ghosts!

𓆝 Maids/Butlers of the manor, residing even through the constant supernatural forces haunting the estate grounds.

𓆟 Spirit mediums investigating the source of reported spiritual activity.

𓆝 Reckless young adults, breaking into the estate garden only to come across a haunted rake!

Phew! That's a big ol' announcement! I do hope to see many ghosties and ghouls populate the manor! Creativity is absolutely encouraged, and this is meant to be a very low stakes event in contrast to the rigor of kinktober. You folks are more than welcome to use the setting of this bot to participate, just be sure to use the #Meyersmanor tag!
