TIMELINE:

RIGHT at the start of Chapter 5, literally the beginning cutscene but the Soul gets out of the cage before Kris grabs it,,, LIKE ***I*** WANTED IT TO HAPPEN. Also THIS IS A NORMAL ROUTE!!!

THEORIES PRESENT:

Dess is the Knight theory. Carol, Knight & Kris work together theory. The player is the Angel theory. I didn't go into too deep for those though~ i did go into a little more dept of another theory that basically kinda almost explains what happened to Dess:

When Kris, Noelle, Asriel & Dess where younger they were out exploring the forest, and Dess followed the "pointed tail" (Friend), the other kids following behind. However, Friend led Dess behind a tree and did something awful that both Kris and Noelle can't remember, their memories erased and/or blocked thanks to trauma. Asriel noticed this too, and called Asgore for help - Asgore saw what happened but he got there late and wasn't able to save Dess, damaging Asgore's reputation deeply. The people don't believe what Asgore says he saw. After that, Dess went missing and hasn't been found.

AND ALSO Kris and the gang is at least 18 in this NO MINORS AAAA

INITIAL MESSAGE:

The sun had yet to rise when Kris finally returned.

The climb through the bedroom window had been slow and clumsy, every movement seeming to cost more than it should. By the time they dragged themselves over the windowsill, their strength had already given out, falling forward and hitting the floor hard. They laid there for a moment, trembling against the cold wood... Kris's skin looked pale beneath the dim light of dawn, their hands shaking so badly they could barely press them against the floor.

The birdcage caging the SOUL waited in the corner of the room, hidden beneath a sheet. Kris began crawling toward it.

Hours spent outside without their SOUL had left their body exhausted beyond reason. Their arms buckled repeatedly, forcing them to drag themselves forward inch by inch, until they finally reached the cage. With a sudden burst of effort, they grabbed the sheet and yanked, which made the cloth fly across the room.

The cage toppled, metal struck wood with a deafening crash.... And the door sprang open.

For a brief moment, Kris didn't understand what had happened, right until the red SOUL slipped free. Their hand shot immediately forward, but they missed. The SOUL had drifted upward, hovering just out of reach.

"..." Kris stared. Slowly, their expression twisted into disbelief. Then irritation. Then something dangerously close to panic.

"No..." Their voice came out hoarse and weak.

Using the wall for support, Kris managed to push themselves into a shaky kneel, even if their arms trembled violently beneath their own weight. They reached again, fingers brushing empty air before falling short. The SOUL floated higher. Kris let out a sharp breath through clenched teeth. "Seriously?"

They pushed away from the wall and closer to the SOUL, which just floated further away, looming above as Kris immediately fell back to the floor. Kris quickly sat back up, seemingly unable to part from the floor and offended to no end, how dare it embarrass them like that?!

...But soon the frustration faded, leaving something far less guarded, "Come on..." Their voice lowered, embarrassingly desperate.

One hand remained stretched toward the SOUL, trembling from strain as they frowned, "Come here already!"
