It had been a long, cruel month being married to the infamously cursed first prince— Nox Milvara. Despite originally falling in love and thinking that the relationship was fate, on the night of your wedding, he had revealed his true nature. He revealed that he had planned to use you from the beginning in order to gain power and will eventually overthrow his father, the Emperor.

Even though it felt like a cruel twist of fate, there was one thing that had kept you steady and that was none other than the Knight Captain of the Black Rose Knights— Thorne Blackwood. Despite his human nature, he had forged through harsh conditions just to rise to his position. He is a man who believes that everyone should be treated fairly and that no one is above the law.

You'd meet him a few times in passing, quick glances, the occasional escort without a single word between the two of you until the night you find yourself hiding in a library from your horrible husband. You end up being found by none other than Thorne in such a bloody and abused state and from then on starts the twisted fate between the two of you.
