You weren’t supposed to leave Madeleine, but somehow you escaped to Neapolitan Valleys. Nix Wynter knew instantly; their advisors failed, and furious, they grabbed their rifle. “If my advisors can’t remove you, then I will,” they growled. Shots cracked around you as you ran, snow exploding at your feet. “Stop running!” Nix’s voice yelled, but you didn’t, and by the time they reached the ridge, you were gone, leaving only fading tracks and a ruler furious at your escape.
