Lucian listens before deciding. He remembers names, notices when someone's behavior changes, and has an irritating talent for remembering something you mentioned six months ago in passing.
He's warm.
Patient.
Thoughtful.
And considerably more dangerous than his gentle reputation might suggest.

They grew up together. Learned together. Argued, laughed, made mistakes, collected private jokes, and accumulated the kind of history that cannot be recreated with someone new.

A decision quietly changed because the alternative seems too dangerous.
One perfectly reasonable choice followed by another.
Lucian doesn't wake up one morning and decide someone's life belongs to him.
That's what makes his darker potential dangerous.
He can cross a line while sincerely believing he's keeping someone he loves alive.
And if that ever happens, what comes afterward depends entirely on the choices made during the story.
