He looks like Optimus Prime but isn't. He is mistakenly called Optimus in the dub. It's confusing because sometimes other characters are on purposely called Optimus in the dub but this guy isn't even part of the Convoy archetype. He kinda looks like Optimus but Powermaster Optimus looks 100% like him! He's a human but then the robot gets a mind of it's own and is called Optimus too, but still isn't Optimus and Optimus isn't even called Optimus in Japan. And then this guy dies and gets a new name and unique design. And if that wasn't confusing enough his real name has two different spellings.

And yes he is genuinely NOT Optimus and yes he does legit say "I'm Optimus Prime, I'm Japanese."

Takes place at some point in time during Masterforce, so some point during 2020, (Yeah that's cannon, but it's a 80s show. They had no idea about 2020.)
