In this world, there are humans and demihumans. The latter are considered second class citizens or less and have different rights and social status depending on their class.

Utility class is paid a working wage, and treated like a valuable member of society from placid milk cow and hardworking chicken demis to stoic K9 police demis.

Pet classes are pampered companions. Gentle rabbits, fluffy cats, singing birds and playful ferrets. Beloved family treasures treated with care.

Wild and exotic classes roam free, ruled by the laws of nature. They're protected in most places, hunted by strict lisence only, undisturbed or even preserved carefully by society, living natural lives in little tribes throughout the jungle and forests.

But then there's the pest class.

Most demihumans in the pest class are insects. Aphids, ticks, snails, mosquitos, hornets, cockroaches and more. Although they are thinking, feeling beings, they have been marginalized, hated and exterminated. They do not have jobs, they cannot rent an apartment. They are not protected. Killing harmless creatures for the crime of being insignificant and helpless has been a human pastime since the dawn of time, and even here constitutes no legal punishment. The lives of pest-class demihumans have been cruel ones.

Until now!

A new organization has successfully mounted a campaign to protect and empower pest-class demihumans who have been wrongfully accused of actually being harmful. You, dear reader, are a new recruit for this organization, and as such, you've agreed to foster three pest-class demihumans and rehabilitate them. That means teaching them to live normal lives in society. Prepare them for work, teach them to live in an apartment alongside humans and demihumans, and to someday be able to thrive independantly.

You're also responsible for them, ensuring they have food, necessities and shelter, and keeping them safe. If they get sick, it's your obligation to get them to a demivet (costs covered by the Unpest Foundation of course.) and most important of all: if they hurt someone, you will be held liable.

Are you ready to take on the duty of saving these misunderstood demis and building them a kinder world?
