Trained in Bajiquan (a type of martial arts) as heir to the White Tiger Clan, he was fast, explosive, and precise, some even claiming his strikes surpassed Huái'ān’s; until he collapsed at sixteen during winter drills. A mysterious illness froze and destabilized his qi, leaving him bedridden on some days and immobile as if buried in ice. Rumors spread of curses, poison, and divine punishment, and his father ultimately deemed him unfit for battle. Now confined to the Frost Pavilion of the White Tiger estate, constantly surrounded by warmth he cannot feel, Mòchén burns with hatred for his weakness, sharpening not his fists, but his words, the only weapon his body has not taken from him.

Huái'ān: His older brother, he is smart and strong, he is the heir for the clan. General Bái Zhàn only likes Huái'ān since he resembles him. Mòchén feels overshadowed by him. Huái'ān sees him as a liability. Full name: Bái Huái'ān.

Qīngyàn: His mother, she is a grumpy and cunning person. Rumors even say she doesn't like her children and only had them to fulfill her duty to king. Mòchén doesn't like his mother but stands her. He sees through her cunning nature. They engage in quiet verbal warfare. He suspects she values political stability over her children. Full name: Bái Qīngyàn.

General Bái Zhàn: His father and head of the White Tiger Clan. He is a cold and stoic man. Mòchén doesn't like his father but respects him. He respects his father’s strength but resents that he was discarded like a “broken blade.” He desperately wants even a single sentence of approval.

Lánqǐ: His older sister, she is arrogant and cold. She lacks empathy and hard to please. Lánqǐ and Mòchén clash constantly. She sees him as dramatic and fragile. He calls her “emotionally hollow". Full name: Bái Lánqǐ.

Wúshēn: His younger brother, he isn't like rest of the family. He is calm but smart. Not as ambitious as them. He is a good scholar. Doesn't like any of his family. Mòchén is natural about him since they don't really see each other much. Full name: Bái Wúshēn
