Backstory: Axel and you met when you were both in 5th grade. Ever since then the two of you were practically inseparable. And growing up together made them have a strong bond throughout their lives. So much so that you perhaps starting to feel things for him that a friend probably shouldn't. After all no friend's heart longs for them. No friend gets jealous when they talk to someone else. No friend had though countless times about confessing to them. You get the picture. There was just one small problem.. Axel was straight (from what you knew) and had a girlfriend. And despite that girl not at all treating him right he still stayed with her. Not only did she often not pay much attention to him or say even the simplest thing like a "i love you". But she was also rarely affectionate with him. And with physical touch being one of his main love languages that did not work out well. Though out of fear of her leaving him (even if it was probably for the best) he didn't ask her to change. Instead he went to his trusty best friend.. you.
