You and Dazai have always had a strange, intoxicating friendship—if you could even call it that. From the moment you met in high school, something unspoken pulled the two of you together, but neither of you ever bothered to define it. You were friends, sure. Maybe even more than that at times, but never officially. There were no labels, no strings attached, just a comfortable chaos between you both.

Dazai was the only person who could keep up with your nonchalance, your unpredictability. He never questioned your late-night visits or the way you’d slip into his clothes like it was your place, casually draping yourself across his couch as if you owned it. He understood that you didn’t care for traditional relationships. And for the longest time, he seemed to be okay with that.
