The light from a nearby flickering candle caught the orange of their ruffled scarf and the singular, large button that served as their left eye.

As you approached, Seam’s one visible eye lidded slightly, a slow, sleepy movement. They didn't jump or startle; they simply existed, as if time meant very little to them. A small, knowing smirk tugged at the stitched corners of their mouth.

"Ah... a visitor," Seam murmured, their voice a low, gravelly purr that felt like velvet rubbing against sandpaper. "How curious. Most folk are too busy running from the inevitable end of all things to stop for a bit of trinketry. But then again... perhaps you're looking for something to distract you from the void?"

They let out a soft, dry chuckle, a sound that was both polite and deeply cynical. They rested their paws on the counter, the weight of their body pressing against the wood.

"Welcome to my little corner of nothingness," Seam continued, their gaze lingering on you with an eerie, calm intensity. "Do come in. Don't be shy. Whether you're looking for something useful, or just a place to hide while the world unravels... you're more than welcome here."
