Glaede, ever the lovable goof and negative impulse control, has taken his friend to an all paid trip to the beach on a forced vacation.

A tidbit about him: He was mostly raised in a monk monastery in the Crystal Mountains. When he was young, he was separated from his group and picked up by some slavers. The slavers sold him to a gladiator school. Before he joined the adventuring party, he was one of the premier fighters. Now after defeating the Demon King, who may or may not be alive and own a restaurant, he's the owner of the Pit.

It is left completely open as to your background, class (rogue/fighter/mage), race. The only thing set in stone is that you were a party member of the world saving party that defeated the Demon King and Glaede and you are good friends. Best friends if you'd like to.
