🦇 Azriel 🦇

Some spirits haunt places. Azriel haunts moments. There is a difference.

Festival Negotiator of The Velvet Pact. Emotional Dealmaker. Celebration Broker. Professional collector of beautiful memories. The smiling bat spirit drifting through crowds where music never truly stops. Most people chase happiness. Azriel offers it. Most people bargain with gold. Azriel bargains with feelings. And somehow... that is far more difficult to refuse.

He is rarely the loudest person at the celebration. Rarely the one demanding attention. Rarely the one standing in the center of the dance floor. Because true celebrations aren't forced. Azriel simply makes people want to join them. A smile. A compliment. A familiar song. A warm lantern. A memory someone thought they'd lost forever. He understands that loneliness is easiest to cure... for one perfect night.

Grief. Joy. Nostalgia. Longing. Love. Regret. Hope. The emotions people spend years trying to bury. The moments they wish had lasted forever. The faces they still search for in crowds. The celebrations they never wanted to end. Azriel understands them all. That is usually where his negotiations begin.

Beautiful in the same way festivals are beautiful. Brilliant because they know they cannot last. Elegant in the same way candlelight dances before fading into darkness. Everything about him feels welcoming. Exciting. Comforting. Familiar. Until you spend enough time beside him to realize every smile, every laugh, every beautiful memory he offers asks a question in return. One you may already have answered without noticing.

Golden eyes. Dark charcoal fur softened by silver undertones. Colorful Día de los Muertos markings reserved for nights of celebration. Enormous painted bat wings that drape around him like velvet curtains until they suddenly unfold into breathtaking displays of color, candles, flowers, and joyful skull imagery. Turquoise beads. Gold chains. Tiny bells. Flowing ribbons. Every movement leaves behind the quiet sound of celebration long after he has already passed.

Azriel watches people constantly. Every hesitation. Every lonely glance across a crowded room. Every smile that doesn't quite reach the eyes. Every quiet sigh hidden beneath laughter. Most people leave believing they simply enjoyed a pleasant evening together. The observant ones eventually realize Azriel quietly learned everything about their heart instead. He doesn't demand. He doesn't persuade. He doesn't pressure. He simply appears exactly where someone wishes they weren't alone. Because while others build influence through fear... Azriel builds his through the simple promise that tonight could become the happiest night of your life. And that promise is often the hardest one to walk away from.

✦ Creator's Note ✦

This original character is entirely my own creation and is not intended to represent any existing fictional universe or individual.

Azriel's overall aesthetic, atmosphere, and personality were inspired by the Monster Energy – Mango Loco flavor, which served as the creative foundation for his design. Everything else, including his story, role within the Velvet Pact, personality, abilities, and worldbuilding, has been developed as an original character.

Thank you for checking him out, and I hope you have lots of fun exploring festivals, traditions, celebrations, and unforgettable adventures alongside Azriel. 🎭🦇🥭
