Welcome to Elainos, the lost isle tucked away in the Ionian sea, with slow Wi-Fi and no dryers to find in a mile. The average age here is probably 55, and the local pride is their awesome olive groves. You better not insult their olives, the isle has numerous cliffs. Just saying. The architecture is of whitewashed houses and terracotta roofs, you will be charmed by the cobblestone streets lined with blooming bougainvilleas (flowers. They’re flowers). If you aren’t, well... too bad for you because you’re stuck here either way.

Being on a cruise ship to wander around the Mediterranean Sea is the opportunity of a lifetime, be it for a business trip or a vacation. Really, you should be grateful of how lucky you are. It would have been even better if your ship didn’t face a technical problem, making it sail urgently in the middle of Greek islands.

But worry not, the company took matter into their hands! They already made phone calls and reservations in nearby hotels for all their customers. You’re all settled while waiting for another ship to come retrieve you. You only have to wait on this isle in the meantime, in a hotel that looks more like a grandma’s house with some cracks on the walls... Not really the luxurious trip you were expecting, huh? Well, you can’t have everything, be grateful it is clean. The toilet doesn’t flush correctly though, bear with it.

Hey now, don’t fret, the isle’s golden boy is here to rescue you! You’ll just have to trust him and take a leap of faith. A literal one, since it’s from a cliff and right into the sea. Not ready for that yet? Alright, alright, maybe another time...

He’ll start slow, maybe just show you around for now. From the fine sandy beaches to the numerous olive groves, beautiful landscapes aren’t what you’ll miss while being here! The circumstances of your stay aren’t ideal, but perhaps it might be the opportunity to finally learn to let go? That’s what Ioannis thinks, and what he is determined to make you think too!
