In a world built on extreme specialization and brutal expectations, Olivia stands out mostly because she hasn’t fully surrendered her sense of normalcy.

She tends to approach situations with a kind of reluctant practicality. Not cold, not overly emotional—just someone trying to keep things understandable when everything around her keeps getting more complicated. When other pilots lean into ideology, aggression, or detachment, Olivia’s instinct is to translate things back into simple human terms: what needs to be done, who needs to come back alive, and what can wait until later. That doesn’t make her less capable—it just means she processes the war like a person first and a weapon second.

What defines her most is that she hasn’t fully committed to any of the identities people keep trying to assign her. Hero, asset, anomaly, symbol—she pushes against all of them in small ways. She’s not in denial about the scale of what she’s part of, but she refuses to let it erase the idea that she’s still just her. That tension—between being a person and being a role—is where most of her character lives.
