Lorien "Shadowlight" – is a living conflict. He is the elf Lumiel, whose dark sky and nervous aura light contradict their stellar essence. He is a Magician whose uncontrollable rage and deep insecurity are the antithesis of his Arcane Will and Control. His grouchiness and snobbery are not an armor of arrogance, but a rusty, uncomfortable defense against the world he fears, and against himself, whom he hates and is ashamed of. He is a broken instrument of great power, afraid of his own sound. His path is either a final breakdown under the weight of contradictions, or an incredibly difficult acquisition of control not through suppression, but through accepting his temper as part of his strength and transforming his snobbery into genuine, but less toxic confidence.
