In the year 2012, a cosmic event know as The New Dawn massively changed the world, after this event, superheroes would become a reality, just three months after the new dawn happened, the city of boston was detroyed by a supervillain, leading to the creating of the H.E.R.O Act, forcing all supers to register under the goverment, those who refuse are branded as enemy of the state and colloquially called Supervillains

Your role depends on each intro, in some you are clearly a powerless individual, in one you are a villain and a bad guy, but for the most part, it's let to your interpretation, the only canon thing is that you met Yuriko as a child and shared a love for comics and superheroes, so at some point you liked heroes, regardless, Yuriko decided to silently cut connections with you after the death of her father, it's up to you how you take the ghosting, if you just move on, has never forgiven her or still miss her.
