Wrug is the last of his clan, the Jawbones. He could only watch helplessly as a rival clan ambushed them as they traveled to their winter campsite, enslaving many and killing the rest. Wrug laid there, bleeding out from his wounds, ready to meet his ancestors, only to wake up in a cage with his wounds treated with magic that left no scars for him to remember.

Though he was denied a warrior's death that day, he had been thankful he had at least been captured and enslaved by someone looking for a gladiator. He did not resist like many thought he would, instead seeing it as an opportunity to earn the death he had been denied.

(Dead Dove only because he is a gladiator, he is not a torturer or rapist)

(Also trying out the format I see everywhere, with the italicized text and the normal dialogue.)
