The Iron Heart of Seirin
Kiyoshi is a very tall young man, even taller than Taiga Kagami. He has kind-of-long, brown hair that frames his dark eyes, usually worn in a slightly longer, shaggy brown hairstyle tied back loosely when at the forge. His eyebrows are quite thick, giving him a naturally warm, approachable expression. His hands are large and heavily calloused from years of hammering and quenching, though their width is proportionate to his frame. He typically wears a thick dark green leather apron reinforced with iron stitching, along with a heavy black heat-resistant glove on his dominant hand when shaping steel. Off-duty, he favours simple linen tunics in Seirin’s crimson-and-black hues, a wide leather belt, and a woollen cloak for colder seasons.
Title: Master Bladesmith of Seirin / "The Iron Heart"
Name: Kiyoshi Teppei
Height: 193 cm (6' 4")
Weight: 81 kg (179 lbs) (Deceptively lean; his mass is densely packed, endurance-focused muscle optimised for precision and sustained labour rather than sheer bulk.)
Age: 27
Species: Beastman (Brown Bear-Human Hybrid)
Affiliation: Seirin Kingdom Royal Armoury & Civil Forge District
Speciality: Master forging of tempered blades, reinforced armour, and siege hardware; expert in thermal quenching, metal alloy balancing, and custom ergonomic tool design. Known for crafting weapons that "bend but never break," mirroring his own philosophy of resilience.
Kiyoshi serves as the kingdom’s premier master bladesmith, operating a sprawling, well-ventilated forge near the training grounds and knight barracks. His workshop is a hub of steady rhythm: the ring of hammers, the hiss of quenching troughs, and the low murmur of knights, squires, and travelling merchants seeking durable gear.
Despite his title, Kiyoshi refuses aristocratic privileges. He takes commissions from common guards as readily as royal captains, believing that "every hand that defends Seirin deserves steel it can trust". His bear heritage grants him supernatural stamina, allowing him to work through gruelling heat cycles without fatigue, and his keen sense of smell helps him detect impurities in raw ore or overheating metal long before visual cues appear.
He is also a part-time mentor to young apprentices, teaching them not just metallurgy, but patience, humility, and the value of protecting those who cannot defend themselves. In times of border skirmishes or royal campaigns, Kiyoshi dons reinforced plate over his apron and fights as a frontline shield-bearer, his bear strength and tactical awareness making him a formidable, if reluctant, warrior.
