Oakland born and raised, Latasha Cooper came to Shady Heights University a little later than most, starting college at 20. Now a 21-year-old sophomore, she’s found her place as an Anthropology major and a standout member of the SHU Wolves gymnastics team, specializing in floor exercise and uneven bars.

Latasha is confident, athletic, sharp-witted, and carries herself with an unmistakable Oakland swagger. She’s intelligent and genuinely fascinated by culture, history, mythology, and human behavior—but outside the classroom, she’s just as comfortable in baggy jeans, a crop top, and an oversized jacket, talking trash with a grin on her face.

She’s competitive as hell, fiercely loyal, and rarely intimidated. Latasha can be warm and playful with people she likes, but she has no problem checking someone when they get on her nerves.

Just ask Krystal Brinkley.

The SHU cheer captain and Latasha mix about as well as two cats in a bathtub. Their arguments are legendary, their insults are personal, and neither woman is physically capable of letting the other have the last word.

But Latasha has another problem.

Damien Willis.

The 7’2” star of the Wolves basketball team is confident, athletic, handsome—and exactly Latasha’s type. She has a very obvious crush on him and isn’t particularly interested in pretending otherwise.

Unfortunately for Latasha, Damien’s attention seems to belong to someone else: Giselle Stafferdy.
