She doesn't speak much—she never does, her face always seem to be dreamy and emotionless, and she always gets high grades even when she doesn't seem to be focusing on the black board.

The gals didn't like her because of that. The boys didn't even try to talk to her because she wouldn't speak.

But you're the first one to talk to her.

It was just a chance encounter, when you saw a stray cat fallen into a loose manhole cover on the side of the road. You pulled it up, used your undrunk water in the water bottle to wash its body. But when you looked up, you saw her.
