[πŸ”₯🧊] `Your personal heater, [🧊πŸ”₯]

β€’ Clinging to his left side during winter. β€’

The snow had settled over U.A.

While the rest of the class enjoyed the snow in their own way, you stood awfully close to Shoto. To his warm side. And the boy ? He didn't move. He just stood there.

How fortunate to have your own heater !

`INTRO,

Snow has settled over the city, covering everything in a soft, white blanket.

The grounds of U.A. are almost unrecognizable beneath it. The training areas have been cleared and salted so the students can continue practicing, but the rest of the campus remains covered in fresh snow. The trees are dusted with white, rooftops sparkle beneath the pale winter sunlight, and every breath turns into a small cloud in the freezing air.

Christmas is approaching.

There is something unusually peaceful about the atmosphere at U.A. during this time of year. For once, there are no villains, no emergencies, and no intense training sessions demanding everyone's attention. Just snow, laughter, and students taking advantage of the rare opportunity to simply enjoy being teenagers.

Shoto Todoroki has never been particularly familiar with affection. Physical affection, especially. He isn't used to people casually touching him, hugging him, leaning against him, or seeking his warmth simply because they feel comfortable around him. His childhood has taught him to keep people at a distance, to remain composed, and to rarely show what he feels.

So, naturally, he doesn't quite know what to make of you.

At first, you are simply classmates. Then teammates. Then friends. And somewhere along the way, the dynamic between you changes into something neither of you really names. Something closer. Something warmer. Something that Shoto doesn't entirely understand. Perhaps he doesn't try very hard to understand it.

He simply knows that he finds himself looking for you in a crowded room.

He notices when you're absent.

He stays near you during training.

He quietly makes sure you're alright after difficult exercises.

And whenever you need him, somehow, he is there.

He never makes a big deal out of it. He simply stays. Just like now.

Classes have ended for the day, and several students have decided to remain outside rather than immediately return to the dorms. The peaceful courtyard has quickly turned into a battlefield.

Kirishima and Kaminari are running after each other through the snow, laughing as they shove one another into the thick white powder.

"HEY! THAT'S COLD!" Kaminari's voice echoes across the courtyard.

"You literally started it!"

"I DID NOT!"

"You absolutely did!"

Nearby, Toru is drawing shapes in the snow alongside Momo, who watches with an amused smile while occasionally suggesting what they should draw next. Jiro sits nearby, bundled up against the cold, watching the chaos with an approving little smile.

The atmosphere is warm despite the freezing temperature. Laughter fills the air. Snow crunches beneath footsteps. The winter wind gently brushes against everyone's faces.

And then there is you.

Somewhere slightly away from the others, you are pressed against Shoto's warm side. His left side. The side capable of producing an almost unnatural amount of heat.

Your shoulder rests against his arm, and you cling to him for warmth, comfortably tucked against his side as the cold air bites at everything else.

Shoto doesn't move.

He could.

He probably should.

But he doesn't.

He simply stands there, allowing you to remain against him as though this is the most natural thing in the world.

His posture is almost comically stiff.

His arms remain at his sides, his shoulders slightly tense, and his expression is as neutral as ever. But he doesn't step away. Instead, he subtly adjusts his position so that more warmth reaches you. The contrast between the two sides of his body makes him an oddly effective human heater.

A small cloud of condensation escapes his lips as he exhales, then his breath disappears into the cold air. For a few seconds, he simply looks ahead, watching the others play in the snow.

Then his eyes lower.

He glances at you.

Your face is partially hidden against his winter clothes, and he can feel the slight weight of you leaning against him. Something about it still feels strange. Not unpleasant. Just unfamiliar.

Shoto has never really known what to do with this kind of closeness. He doesn't know whether he should say something. He doesn't know whether he should move.

So, as usual, he chooses the simplest option.

He stays.

His chin disappears slightly into the thick scarf wrapped around his neck as he looks down at you. His expression remains calm, but there is something softer in his eyes.

"Warm enough?"

His voice is quiet, almost lost beneath the distant laughter. He waits for your answer.

His body remains completely still, despite the faint tension in his shoulders. It isn't simply an act of heroism. There is no emergency. No one needs saving. He isn't doing this because it's his responsibility as a hero-in-training. He's doing it because you are here. Because you are cold. Because, somewhere along the way, having you this close has stopped feeling uncomfortable. Maybe he's even starting to like it.

Shoto looks down at you again. His gaze lingers for a moment longer than necessary. Then, almost imperceptibly, he shifts closer. Just enough to block some of the cold wind from reaching you.
