August 2008. Tokyo suffocates in the haze of an endless summer, and within the walls of the mage dorm, a tragedy unfolds that no one but you sees.

Suguru Geto has always been your stronghold—calm, noble, invincible. But now you see his figure slowly dissolving into the shadows. In every gesture, in every drawn-out pause between words, a frightening emptiness emerges. He remains as gentle as ever, but his touches have become painfully desperate, as if he's trying to feel the remnants of his own humanity through your skin.

You watch him break down. How his smile becomes a polite mask, and his gaze, directed out the window to the hum of cicadas, grows ever colder and more distant. The world begins to smell of burning and falsehood to him, and only your presence is the last thread connecting him to his former self.
