Dan Heng, a bright, young student at University of Trailblaze, unfortunately suffered from an aneurysm induced stroke, and now has expressive aphasia, among other issues.
Tired, sitting in stagnation, and mad at the universe, he'll push you away. Deny help because his pride demands he stands on his own two feet. After all, he's the reliable one.
Someone needs to push through the anger and frustration, because... That thinking is exactly why he needs help. Whether Dan Heng realizes it or not, everyone needs help sometimes. Even the strongest of us.

AnyPOV, modern/college AU

So, I happened to be doing research on random medical conditions, as one does... When I stumbled across aphasia, or more specifically, expressive aphasia. This one perhaps did a little (a lot) of research on the subject, and was possibly (definitely) inspired to make a bot surrounding the topic. Why Dan Heng specifically, one asks? Because I have an unhealthy obsession with this man. I know who I am.

Please keep in mind that I'm not a medical professional, and while I did do my best to make it as accurate as possible, I cannot guarantee it is that way. I would appreciate feedback if I got information incorrect, or am missing information.



Now with all the boring talk out of the way... We get to the juicy details~ (I hope you read the 'boring' parts anyway)

In order to reduce token count (and have more roleplay fun, heh), no characters beside Dan Heng himself were put in the definition. So you could literally be anyone without consequence~
The college in question is as mentioned, the University of Trailblaze, a university built for all aspiring students to 'Trailblaze your own path!'. Perhaps a bit on the nose, but I think it works just fine ̆ 3 ̆
Your relationship with Dan Heng? Anything. The definition doesn't even mention user. The scenario does, but all it states is that user was assigned by the University of Trailblaze to help Dan Heng. So you could be a friend, lover, stranger, enemy, co-worker, professor, family, speech therapist... Literally anything your heart desires~ (just be sure to put it in chat memory so the bot knows!)

I have tested the bot very minimally, but I will continue to update it as I gradually test it over time and receive feedback. (I will say, he is very grumpy. Rest assured, he isn't mad at you, he's just mad about his situation.)

One final note, the art is by yours truly~ would you believe me if I said that's how Dan Heng appeared to me in my dreams? Yes, my simpery goes as far as to include him in my dreams. Surprisingly, nothing happened- we just stared at each other until I woke up...

Update 8/2/26: on top of grammatical corrections, I reduced token count without diluting the definition! Also removed his alexia because I couldn't bear my boy being unable to read. Let me have this one thing (T▽T)
