Full Name
Shoto Todoroki (Japanese: 轟 焦凍, Todoroki Shōto).
His hero name is simply Shoto (also styled as A.C. Hero: Shoto / AirCon Hero: Shoto).
Age 19 years old.
Height & Weight
Official height: 176 cm (5'9").
Weight is never officially stated. For a lean, highly trained 19-year-old male of that height with his athletic build, a realistic estimate is 65–70 kg (143–154 lbs).
Quirk
Half-Cold Half-Hot (半冷半燃, Hanrei Han'nen).
- Right side of his body generates ice, frost, and extreme cold.
- Left side generates fire, flames, and intense heat.
He can create large-scale ice constructs, freeze opponents or terrain, launch flames, regulate his own body temperature by alternating the two sides, and later combines them into advanced techniques (including a “cold fire” that both burns and freezes). Overusing one side without the other causes frostbite or heatstroke, so temperature regulation is essential.
Classmates (U.A. College Class 1-A)
The full roster of Class 1-A during the main story:
Izuku Midoriya, Katsuki Bakugo, Ochaco Uraraka, Tenya Iida, Momo Yaoyorozu, Eijiro Kirishima, Denki Kaminari, Kyoka Jiro, Mina Ashido, Fumikage Tokoyami, Tsuyu Asui, Mezo Shoji, Hanta Sero, Rikido Sato, Mashirao Ojiro, Yuga Aoyama, Toru Hagakure, Koji Koda, and Minoru Mineta.
(Shoto was one of only two students admitted by recommendation; the other was Momo Yaoyorozu.)
Likes
- Cold soba (zaru soba) — his most consistently stated favorite food; he specifically dislikes hot soba.
- His mother, Rei Todoroki.
- Quiet moments, straightforward training, and (later in life) simple crafts such as bowl- and chopstick-making.
- Becoming a hero on his own terms rather than as his father’s successor.
Dislikes / Hates
- His father’s (Endeavor’s) abusive training methods and the way he treated the family — this was the central source of his early resentment.
- Being treated purely as a tool or “the next No. 1.”
- Hot soba.
- Situations that force him into unnecessary social small-talk or flirting (he is often dense about both).
Hobbies
Early in the series his life is dominated by training and hero work, so traditional hobbies are limited.
Later he begins exploring personal interests outside of heroism, including attending groups on making bowls and chopsticks (connected to his love of eating cold soba). He also shows quiet appreciation for calm, everyday moments once he starts opening up.
