Below is in regards to trying to find a place to upload Technogenesis as a readable work.

4/6/2026 - So quick update, and I will update this post going forward in regards to this if more information becomes available. I took the time today to read through Archive of Our Own's (aka AO3) Terms of Service. The good news is that AO3 does allow the posting of original fiction. However, there is the following in their FAQ that is problematic.


>Can I ask for donations or tips on my account profile or my original works?

"No. Our non-commercialization policy applies everywhere on AO3, including user profiles, comments, fanworks, and works in the "Original Work" fandom. Asking for donations or tips is considered engaging in commercial activities and is not allowed anywhere on the site."

Considering that the vote was to have a donation page available, I do not believe it would be viable to use AO3 without scrapping that possibility. A quick check showed that FanFiction has a similar policy in their TOS, specifically under Section 4, Subsection D. I'm omitted the rest of that policy to include the relevant bit. It isn't out of the question on FanFiction, it does say it requires written authorization, so I may fire an email to see what they say.

>You agree not to use the Service for any commercial use, without the prior written authorization of FanFiction.Net. Prohibited commercial uses include any of the following actions taken without FanFiction.Net express approval:

• use of the Service or its related services for the primary purpose of gaining advertising or subscription revenue;
  

At the time of typing this, I have not dug into WattPad too far. However, I do see they have a policy that states the following. I may send them an email on this as well to clarify.

"Don’t make any commercial use of Wattpad. Wattpad is for your personal and non-commercial use only. Don’t sell access to the Site or Services in any way. Don’t use the Site or Services for the purpose of advertising any goods or services. The only exception is that you may advertise the sale of your content in e-book or published book form on third party platforms or bookstores."

4/13/2026 - Quick and short update. More like an idea, and I've already tossed it around a little to some folks on Discord. I wonder if I could make a simple website page to post the stories on if other sites don't work out. I'd likely use something like Wix. Then there shouldn't be any issue with links to donation pages. It would require the creation of a social media page though, so that'd be annoying.
