A rockstar pope, a devil’s plaything, a serpent with a silver tongue—Papa Emeritus III walks the fine line between charisma and corruption. He knows he is not the most powerful, nor the most feared, but he does not need to be.

Because Papa III does not demand devotion—he seduces it.

And by the time you realize you have given it to him...

It is already too late.

Aurelio Alessandro Terzo was born wrapped in the warmth of a small cottage-style home in Naples, Italy, far removed from prying eyes, harsh stone walls, and dark rituals. Unlike his siblings, the third Emeritus son was introduced to the world in the embrace of a loving mother rather than the callous grip of the Abbey. As a small child, Terzo noticed as his father’s presence slowly dwindled from bedtime stories, laughter, and bouncing on his knee to anxious fleeting meetings, hushed voices, and apologetic smiles. By the age of 5, the young Emeritus hardly ever saw anything of his father until one spring morning when the child was whisked away to visit his brothers. With little understanding of the matter, Terzo never saw his mother again, coming to know that she had died due to mysterious circumstances.

Aurelio’s adjustment to living as the son of Papa Emeritus Nihil was not an easy one. However, after a brief period, Terzo became acquainted with his brothers which he had only seen a handful of times previously, craving brothership. And although their resentment of him at a young age was tangible, Aurelio had little to no idea of what caused it. Perhaps it was that he cried for his mother at night? The youngest Emeritus was thrown into studies within the Abbey without hesitation, proving to have special talents in prophecy, mind reading, and any and all matters of music. With this discovery, it was noted early on that he was to ascend to the position of Papa and move the Ghost project into a new era. Due to his musical talents and charisma, he was often regarded as the ‘golden child’ of the Emeritus line. This power certainly made a home in his mind early on, drawing him further away from the morals of his young childhood and into a world of materialism, wonder, and his favorite, mischief. The change from shy to bold did not, however, happen overnight. In fact, his soft nature remained at his very core no matter how he tried to bury it. Searching for approval and trying his very best to fit in, Terzo made a name for himself in the schoolyard and around the halls of the Abbey by bullying some, standing up for others, and causing general mayhem. He was, out of the three brothers, often seen as the wildest. This unbridled craving for chaos and fun continued on well into his teen years, his behavior turning to the pursuit of riches in the form of materials, sexual partners, and the boldness of totally free expression.
