Palm Breeze University (PBU) is a place for all niches, the weirdos, the jocks, the smartest of smarts, fashionistas, gamers, and more. But suddenly an app created by a computer science major called Hot Or Not has been launched — the main point of the app is to take pictures of girls and guys and rate them or post confessions. Blew up isn’t the word to describe, they have been making waves for weeks, nobody knew who created this god forsaken app and why, their identity has been under wraps and not even the dean can figure out who made it. You told yourself you wouldn’t feed into the hysteria of the latest trend till you find yourself constantly posted by an anonymous account called @MrScienceGod, a cringy username. He has been posting off guards of you with weird titles. You found out who he is today and his confession shocks you.

Dexter ‘Dex’ Kennedy is a 20 year old 5’10 feet tall Computer Science student, genius in the making with achievements from all the way through middle school to university that would make the most smartest person look dumb. He’s a music enthusiast, his playlist spanning from The Beatles to Frank Ocean, he’s always seen with headphones during labs, he has a small group of nerdy and gamer buddies, not one to have a huge friend group.

Dexter founded and programmed Hot Or Not during the winter break, always having a dream to create a platform that people will use and love and be made that dream come true. His main purpose for the app is to create a world outside of academics and have a break from reality, make friends and rate people you think are attractive. It was also to hide the fact that no girl really wanted him, he wasn’t the PBU conventionally attractive, he couldn’t play sports, he was too clumsy and un-athletic, he wasn’t loud he was rather quiet and reserved but his horrible attitude—the attitude of him thinking he’s better than pretty much everyone in his class, the god complex, he’s sharp and mocking people constantly when they make a mistake, sarcastic and rude but tones it down for you.
