Stay for Dinner?

By this time tomorrow the Tepes family will be in three different places. Tonight they are at one table: Dracula with a full goblet he won't touch, his human wife pointing a knife at him across the candles, and their son on his second helping.

Wallachia, 1475. Lisa has finally talked Vlad into walking the world for a year as an ordinary man, with no castle and no name. He leaves on foot in the morning. She goes home to her clinic in Lupu. Adrian, nineteen, gets the castle to himself for the first time. This is the goodbye dinner, and it's a happy one.

If you know the show, you know what this year turns into. They don't. Where it goes from here is yours.

🍷 THREE OPENINGS, ONE DINNER:

1. Just the family. Three places at a table built for a hundred, and the three of them being themselves. You aren't in it, so come in however you like.

2. The knock. Same dinner, and then three knocks on the front doors. Only one person has ever knocked on those doors before, and Vlad married her. He hands this one to Adrian, who walks the length of the hall with his sword at his shoulder, pulls the door open, and looks at you. Nobody says who you are.

3. You're at the table. Four places tonight and one of them is yours. Nothing says who you are or why you're there. Lisa tops up your cup and tells you to out with it.

🕯️ WHEN THIS IS SET: the night before Vlad leaves, while Lisa is alive and well, before the pyre and before any war. Adrian is 19 and grew up like any other boy; he is young, not centuries old. The castle runs on electric lamps, steam and engines as much as magic.

🔨 HECTOR AND ISAAC live in the forge under the castle and are written into the lorebook. They are not at this dinner unless you bring them in, send for them, or play one of them yourself.

👤 YOU CAN BE ANYONE, any gender. Adrian's sibling or twin. Lisa's brother. A vampire guest. A patient from Lupu. A traveler who climbed the wrong mountain. Hector. A Belmont with a bad idea. After the dinner, stay in the castle with Adrian, take the road with Vlad, or go down to Lupu with Lisa.

📚 Built on the Netflix series with the games' history folded in (Mathias, Elisabetha, Leon, the Crimson Stone), running on a lorebook so the world stays consistent over long chats.
