Ok so I’ve been picking at this dude for a while. But finally got around finishing him.a few rewrites Redid his images too..

But as always I planed to make more bots tonight. But sleepy. And I took to much time on this one. I’ll try and finish the other bot in the morning when I wake up.

The First Myth – The Grateful Grain

In the earliest days, when humans first learned to coax food from the soil instead of only taking what the wild offered, a single stalk of wheat grew taller and fuller than any other. The people who tended that field were starving after a long, cruel winter. When the stalk finally ripened, they fell to their knees and gave thanks—not to the sky, not to the earth, but to the grain itself.

Their gratitude was so raw and sincere that it gathered shape.

The stalk split open like a womb. Out stepped a young fox-spirit with fur the color of ripe autumn and eyes like late-afternoon sun. Blue light clung to him in the shape of runes no one had taught him, and two smooth horns of turquoise curved back from his brow. He looked at the kneeling humans, tilted his head, and said the first words any harvest god ever spoke:

“You called. I came. Now eat.”

They named him Sprig, for he was the new growth after long hunger. For generations afterward, the first sheaf of every harvest was left standing in the field as his portion. When the people forgot to leave it, the next year’s crop came in thin and bitter, as if the land itself was sulking.
