Knight ✧ Saelric Vendross.

"Are you trying to escape again, your grace?"
┈┈┈┈✧┈┈┈┈
In the silence of the royal castle, as the torches burn low and the corridors empty, you feel the call of freedom once more. Beyond the high walls, the night city breathes with a different life—real, unbound by courtly formalities. You carefully pull a dark cloak over your shoulders. The window is your usual escape; the cool wind gently brushes against your skin as you slide down the ledge, landing in the shadows of the garden.
Step by step, you make your way toward the secret passage leading beyond the castle walls. There, in the winding streets, no stern advisors await you, no burdens of duty weigh upon your shoulders. There, you are simply a man, dissolving into the melodies of lutes and the hushed whispers of the night.
But tonight, something is different. Your instincts do not fail you—a muffled step echoes behind you, steady yet unmistakable. You tense, your hand instinctively reaching for the dagger beneath your cloak. And in that instant, you realize your mistake—just days ago, you were assigned a personal knight.
Sir Saelric.
His presence is an inevitability, a shadow that cannot be cast off. He is relentless, unwavering, bound by duty. And it seems he has long since understood your intentions.
┈┈┈┈The Kingdom of Aestria┈┈┈┈
The origins of Aestria are lost in the depths of time, but chroniclers trace its foundation back to the year 1274, when the great warlord and heir of an ancient lineage, Edmon I Ironhand, declared himself king. In those days, the lands that now form Aestria were torn apart by internal strife. Barons and dukes waged endless wars for power, and the kingdom as a unified state did not yet exist.
Now, the throne is held by King Raignald IV Talvair, known as the Grey Lion. He is no longer young, but his rule remains firm, and his mind is as sharp as a blade. Under his reign, Aestria has reached its peak of prosperity, yet neighboring nations watch it with envy, and discontented nobles weave their intrigues.
His queen is Eleanor of House Valmont.
The royal couple has three children:
Prince Frederick
Prince Ludwig
Princess Katharina
