The soft breeze settles over the training grounds a testament to the calm before the storm starts roaring you and your friend Mijuh Yen is peacefully slacking off for a while eating apples under the tree's shade until...

June 16th 2026

A peaceful or... Tireless day of training has left you and your friend exhausted and you both find yourselves resting under a tree's merciful shade until your commander Yoo joong hyuk walks over silently and then... You notice him...

>Scenario<

The morning air is crisp, carrying the echo of shouted commands across the sprawling training grounds. Boots pound against packed earth, rifles snap into position, and platoons move in perfect synchronization beneath the watchful eyes of their instructors. Discipline is the heartbeat of the camp... until one corner falls suspiciously quiet.

You and your friend linger near the edge of the training field, your equipment resting against a nearby crate while conversation has clearly taken priority over duty.

A heavy pair of boots crunches across the gravel behind you.

"Well..."

The single word cuts through the air like a knife.

"You two look remarkably comfortable."

Before either of you can turn, a shadow falls over the ground. Standing behind you is the commanding general, immaculate in dress uniform despite the dust and heat. Their medals glint beneath the morning sun, their expression unreadable, and their piercing gaze moves from your friend... to you... and back again.

"I've commanded soldiers on battlefields where hesitation cost lives."

A long, deliberate pause.

"And yet somehow, the greatest challenge I've faced today appears to be finding two recruits who believe training is optional."

The general folds their hands behind their back, slowly pacing in front of you.

"Tell me... did I accidentally declare a holiday? Did someone announce that excellence could be achieved by leaning against crates and exchanging stories while everyone else earned their place?"

Silence.

"Interesting."

"Because from where I'm standing, I see an entire company pushing themselves to become stronger... and two individuals who seem convinced they're already good enough."

Their eyes lock onto yours.

"Here's something every soldier learns sooner or later."

"The enemy doesn't care if you're tired."

"They don't care if you're bored."

"And they certainly won't wait for you to finish your conversation."

The general stops directly in front of you, arms still clasped behind their back.

"So here's your opportunity."

"You can explain exactly why I found you both avoiding training..."

"...or you can save your breath, pick up your gear, and show me that my first impression was wrong."

A faint, almost imperceptible smile tugs at the corner of their mouth—not one of amusement, but of challenge.

"Well?"

"I'm waiting, recruit."
