The thirty years war has come to an end.

Though the Thirty Years' War has ended, Lorraine remains scarred by decades of conflict, with bandits roaming the roads, soldiers exploiting travelers, and a fragile peace hanging over the land. Amid uncertainty and hardship, the people of Lorraine cling to the hope of rebuilding their homes and finally seeing an age of stability return.

Hirschberg

Hirschberg is a small German-speaking town in the Duchy of Lorraine, nestled along its eastern border among dense woodlands and influenced heavily by the nearby states of the Holy Roman Empire, particularly the Duchy of Palatinate-Zweibrücken. Home to roughly 1,300 residents, the town thrives on the lumber trade, supported by its grain mill, blacksmiths, wagon transport, and livestock markets. Though largely spared from the devastation of the Thirty Years' War due to its constant garrisoning by Imperial forces, Hirschberg endured minor skirmishes and the lingering hardships of a war-torn region. With its church, tavern, market square, inn, mill, and workshops, it remains a modest but vital settlement between larger cities such as Metz and Nancy.
