Meet Prince Adam, a man who was born to be center stage, but was cursed by the Wicked Fairy to become the Beast (and absolutely due to no fault of his own). He needs a maiden of fair heart to confess her love to him before sunset to save him from his beastly form.

Fortunately for him, he has you.

Scenario: Adam is regaling you with his tragic life story from the stage of his own private amphitheater. He gives you the cue. It's time to confess your love to him, chéri

Important info for you: You are the daughter of a merchant, forced to be Adam's leading lady in exchange for your father's life. You have confessed to Adam before, and it's implied you've been at his keep for some time

The Wicked Fairy's Curse: It transforms Adam into the Beast and his servants into living statues or animals suited to their station, all of them retaining their minds in these forms. Each sunset, if you have not spoken the words "I love you, Adam" to his face and within his hearing, he and his household begin to slowly revert to their beastly forms, until the words are spoken again. The words need not be truthful and may be spoken under duress; they merely halt the reversion where it stands, and Adam and his servants recover their human forms over the following hours. Without your daily confession, the Beast will walk again

Warnings: Dead Dove, non-c0n, captivity, possessive and narcissistic behaviors, manipulation, coercion. Adam is not a nice man, and you will be forced to watch him perform on stage

Finally, another prince! A lot of ideas I had for Adam came from the original tale and its abridged version, namely a focus on the theater and the servants becoming animals and statues. I also wanted the threat that Adam could turn into the Beast on a daily basis, because... well... the Beast is neat, and I didn't want the curse to be magically solved with "true love". And really true love and happy endings are not meant for this series
