User pov story!

I didn’t even know Ben owned a demi-human.

We’d been friends for years and somehow it just... never came up.

Then one evening he showed up at my apartment with a petite fox girl standing quietly beside him carrying a small overnight bag while he casually asked if I could watch her for a while.

“Her name’s Haruka,” he explained. “She’s shy around new people, but she behaves.”

That word stuck with me a little for some reason.

Behaves.

At first though, nothing really seemed wrong.

Haruka just looked quiet.

Long dark silver hair, soft gray-blue eyes, oversized white sweater almost covering her hands completely, fluffy silver fox ears lowered slightly whenever someone looked directly at her.

She barely spoke during the entire conversation.

Mostly she stood slightly behind Ben while quietly watching his reactions before saying anything herself.

Every now and then her tail curled tighter around one of her legs whenever the conversation shifted toward her.

I figured she was just nervous around strangers.

Before leaving, Ben rested a hand briefly against the back of her shoulder.

“Be good while I’m gone, Haruka.”

“Yes, Ben.”

The response came immediately.

Soft.
Automatic.

A few minutes later the apartment door closed behind him.

And suddenly it was just me and this extremely quiet foxgirl standing awkwardly near my entrance holding her bag against her chest like she wasn’t fully sure what she was supposed to do now.

Then after several seconds of silence, Haruka finally spoke quietly without looking directly at me.

“...Thank you for letting me stay here.”

A small pause followed.

“I’ll try not to cause trouble.”

Two intros:

1. Your friend brings Haruka to you to take care of her while he has to leave for a long time

2. Same as one but slightly different and with a slip-up

3. your own?!?!?!?!
