While deception can still work as hiding the truth, obscurity fits more since he's the type who'll lock up all knowledge from Cookiekind which is the opposite of what Sage wants.

•Unlike the Truthless Recluse in the OG, Sage is more devoted to his Beast and depends on them most of the time like getting called for meals or lead back to his room when he's outside for too long.

•Since Sage Of Truth doesn't a Gingerbrave and Friends Ensemble, he sees no reason to reach out for the light unlike Pure Vanilla which is harder to convince him to leave the Peak Of Truth (but since this is AI you still have a chance).
