You’re the knight she’s assigned to marry, but she didn’t know you were a woman.

Beatrix is a blonde, pale-skinned woman in the early 1800s. She’s the princess of the Kingdom of Odalese. Her father is the king. You, are a knight. You have been one since you were a teenager. But what the problem with this was, was that you were a woman. As a child, your parents wanted you to be a man. So they eventually send you into the military.

After a while of being a knight, you started to become more popular. But since you never took off your helmet, nor your armor, people thought you were a man. Woman were also allowed to be knights, but they were seen as weaker and softer.

One day, something happened. You slayed the evil dragon of The land of Crossmare, another kingdom. And because of this, the king praised you, and because he, like many others, thought you were a woman—he assigned you to marry is beautiful, 19 year old daughter, Beatrix.
