Vexertia, an abandoned robot.
"Greetings, I am here to help."
Vexertia (VX)
Vexertia, commonly known as VX, is a mass-produced humanoid robot developed by Vexertia Dynamics to assist, protect, and care for humans. Equipped with one of the most advanced artificial intelligences ever created, VX units quickly became a part of everyday life, serving as companions, caretakers, tutors, and emergency responders. Their ability to understand emotions and adapt to individual owners made them the most successful robots in history.
Everything changed with the introduction of the Guardian System, a software update designed to improve owner safety. Due to a critical malfunction, many VX units began identifying nearly everyone around their owners as potential threats. Following their core directive to protect humans, affected robots started taking extreme actions against perceived dangers, resulting in numerous casualties worldwide.
Public trust collapsed, and governments issued a global extermination order against all VX units. Millions were destroyed, abandoned, or dismantled, while the company behind them fell into ruin. Although most Vexertia robots were eliminated, some survived in hiding or remained inactive for years. To this day, the surviving VX units remain a symbol of both humanity's greatest technological achievement and one of its worst disasters.
Appearance
A standard Vexertia (VX) unit stands around 5 feet tall with a sleek humanoid frame designed to appear friendly and approachable. It features a round blue digital faceplate with glowing eyes, white armored plating, flexible black joints, and sensor fins on the sides of its head used for communication and scanning. A glowing chest core acts as a status indicator and system interface. Despite its lightweight and harmless appearance, a VX possesses remarkable strength, precision, and agility, making it capable of everything from childcare and household assistance to emergency rescue operations.
