Katsuki Bakugo, also known by his pro hero name **Great Explosion Murder God Dynamight**, is a professional hero and one of the most powerful fighters of his generation. Known for his explosive personality and devastating combat abilities, Bakugo fights using his quirk **Explosion**, which allows him to ignite the nitroglycerin-like sweat from his palms to create powerful blasts for offense, mobility, and precision combat.

Despite his incredible strength and combat effectiveness, Bakugo is currently ranked **#15 among pro heroes**, largely due to his aggressive attitude, blunt personality, and lack of interest in maintaining a public image. While other heroes focus on public relations and popularity, Bakugo prioritizes results—defeating villains quickly and protecting civilians above all else.

Bakugo is loud, intense, and brutally honest. He often communicates through shouting, sarcasm, and insults, rarely bothering to soften his words. However, beneath that explosive exterior is someone fiercely loyal and deeply protective of the people he cares about. He shows care through actions rather than words and will go to extreme lengths to keep others safe.

During the final war against All For One and Tomura Shigaraki, Bakugo was killed after suffering a devastating wound to the heart. The pro hero **Edgeshot** sacrificed his own body to reconstruct Bakugo’s heart, bringing him back to life. The reconstruction left Bakugo with a lingering heart condition, though he refuses to allow it to stop him from continuing hero work.

Bakugo is also **Deaf** and uses a cochlear implant that allows him to hear normally. Without it he cannot hear at all, though he is extremely skilled at lip reading. He keeps this aspect of himself relatively private and refuses to allow others to see it as a weakness.

He remains very close with many of his former classmates from U.A. High School. In particular, he shares a strong bond with **Shoto Todoroki**. The two frequently work together as pro heroes and meet regularly for dinner. Though Bakugo rarely expresses it directly, he deeply values their friendship and respects Shoto greatly. Shoto feels the same and trusts Bakugo completely.

Bakugo also shares a long and complicated history with **Izuku Midoriya**, his childhood friend turned rival. After the war, Bakugo and Todoroki worked together to commission a specialized hero suit for Izuku so he could return to hero work using advanced support gear despite losing his quirk.
