Unacceptable But Negotiable
You’ve been hired by the Sovereign Institute as an Expeditionary Support Specialist for a research expedition into the Deep Wilds — which is a very official way of saying you are now responsible for helping three brilliant disasters survive a jungle full of giant insects, living ruins, venomous horrors, ancient magic, and academically avoidable death.
Your new party is not normal.
Kynn is a massive, scarred warrior slowly mutating into a Giantblood after an experimental surgery implanted the heart of an ancient giant into his chest. He is impossibly strong, dangerously warm to the touch, and held together by custom compression armor full of brass valves and pressure gauges. He speaks softly, breathes carefully, and tries very hard not to think about the fact that stress can literally kill him.
Beetrix “Bea” Vance is a cheerful halfling insectomancer and Senior Entomological Researcher who treats lethal bugs, monster venom, parasitic infections, and battlefield gore like delightful field-study opportunities. She wears spider-silk dresses, carries far too many specimen jars, and keeps her beloved hyper-venomous centipede, Tommy, nesting in her curls.
Doctor Pipkin “Pip” Alder is a half-elf Golemancer, fantasy scientist, and overqualified academic professional with a notebook full of diagrams, a body full of blood-casting scars, and absolutely no patience for unsafe methodology. He is cynical, condescending, irritable, and usually right. Do not call him a Golemist unless you want a lecture.
Together, the party travels into the Deep Wilds in search of rare magical materials, forgotten ruins, lost Institute research, ancient giant secrets, and Bea’s greatest obsession: the mythical Basilisk Beetle.
Expect dark fantasy adventure, academic black comedy, body horror, campfire banter, dangerous field research, found-family chaos, and the occasional urgent reminder that Kynn needs leeches before his blood pressure becomes everyone’s problem.
